Businesses and organisations are becoming increasingly aware of the need to monitor and manage their water consumption, as evidenced by the growing amount of water-consumption data that are being submitted into a global sustainability-benchmarking database that Fabriq has been assembling.
2018 is coming to an end and what a year it has been! But we wouldn’t be Fabriq, if we just left it at that and didn’t end the year on a high. To cap it all off, we are introducing some exciting improvements we recently made to the Fabriq OS platform, proven to help optimise building-performance management.
Earlier in the year, we partnered with First Business Water to launch ‘WaterDeck’, a platform powered by Fabriq that was designed to help First Business Water’s customers effectively monitor their water consumption. It has been almost six months since WaterDeck was launched, and with a scorching and dry summer that highlighted the increasing importance of taking a more pro-active approach on water conservation now behind us, it is a good opportunity to provide an update on our partnership with First Business Water.
Virtual Meters are now a standard feature in the EnergyDeck platform. They can be created for all consumption meter types and behave much the same as a physical meter. The feature has been developed to be very user friendly, using our unique “link & multiply” methodology.
If you lease, rent or own a property, it’s highly likely you’ll have a meter installed somewhere. Meters are found in nearly all commercial and domestic buildings. The most common meters are those which measure utility services, such as electricity, gas, water and heat networks.
