August has seen the arrival of Nicholas Mason, who joins the EnergyDeck team as Director of Business Development. Nick joins us from CBRE’s Energy & Sustainability Team where he was a senior E&S consultant providing carbon reporting and energy management services to companies such as Sainsbury’s, Nomura, C&A Europe and CBRE Global Investors. Prior to CBRE, Nic worked at Westminster City Council as their carbon, energy and sustainable procurement manager.

Nic’s appointment reflects an increasingly busy period for EnergyDeck, and his broad range of energy and carbon data management experience across public and private sectors, working for landlords, tenants and owner/occupiers, via in-house management teams and external consultancies, will be key to taking the company to the next level.

In other exciting news, EnergyDeck have been announced as one of the semi-finalists for Cisco’s British Innovation Gateway (BIG) Awards (https://www.thebigawards.co.uk/Page/Home) and we need your support to help us progress to the finals!

The Awards aim to recognise and support up-and-coming innovators, entrepreneurs and early-stage startup businesses, having been set up to attract high-potential technology startups that are seeking investment and support to accelerate their development. For the successful entrants there’ll be access to the full array of Cisco capabilities from technology to business development, plus potential investment and partnering opportunities in the future.

EnergyDeck is one of 20 semi-finalists who, over the next three weeks, will compete to make it through to the finals. While five of the finalists will be selected by the judges, the sixth finalist will be decided by a public vote, which is where EnergyDeck users and supporters come in.

The prizes are substantial, and would help us rapidly improve EnergyDeck for everyone, so if you have a few minutes spare to help us out then please register at the BIG Awards website and complete the “Pairwise” voting process to help boost our chances of getting through.

Thanks in advance for all your support!
